Our daughter spent the summer of 2023 working as staff at the Boys Scouts of America’s Philmont Scout Ranch High Adventure base in Cimarron, NM. As soon as we heard she was planning that, Reedi and I planned a trip around visiting her.

We started our trip by flying to Albuquerque, NM, then driving to Sante Fe to meet with Ari. We spent two days in the Sante Fe/Taos/Cimarron areas eating and exploring this section of New Mexico, which is so wonderful and so different from what we’re used to back home. After dropping Ari off at Philmont, Reedi and I head north to Chama, NM, then on to Colorado. Over the next week, we visited the National Parks in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona including Mesa Verde NP, Arches NP, Canyonland NP, Capitol Reef NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Zion NP, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon NP.
